What is Pilates? ... and how can it help

Pilates is a low-impact exercise program that emphasises on deep breathing and controlled movements. Regular practice will help improve balance, mobility, and functional fitness. It is considered one of the best ways to activate the deep core muscles and keep you healthy. Most exercises can be tailored to your needs and range in difficulty from beginner to advanced.

Why Choose Clinical & Fitness Pilates?

If you are wondering what to expect from our Clinical & Fitness Pilates session, here's what you can experience:
  • Small Session: We keep it small with either 1:1 or 1:2, a maximum of 2 people in a session. This way, you get the attention you deserve. You’ll find a perfect blend of focused rehabilitation and a supportive, fun environment. We’re dedicated to not just helping you work out, but to teaching you how to move better, in a way that’s both creative and clinically effective

  • Tailored to You: Our sessions align with your personal goals, whether it’s improving function or boosting performance.

  • For Everyone: It doesn’t matter who you are – mums, dancers, injured, not injured, teens, or the elderly – our classes are suited for all.

  • High-Quality Teaching:  Evidenced-based exercises to ensure that every movement is aligned with your rehabilitation goals, offering a level of customisation that goes beyond your typical fitness-style Pilates found in larger studios.

  • Goal-Oriented: Our approach is systematic and focused on achieving your goals.

We utilise a variety of equipment to modify and challenge exercises, including the well-known Reformer. Equipment, such as the Reformer, Half-trapeze and Wunda Chair, provides spring-based resistance and stability, enhancing the focus on core engagement, flexibility, and overall body alignment.
